Fully modernised, Pieretti's cellar has efficient winemaking equipment, including a pneumatic press, transportation and pumping devices, carbon and nitrogen gaz vacuuming processes, as well as thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. Bordered by the maquis on one side and the sea on the other, the vines are planted on hillsides with a density of 4,000 to 5,000 vines per hectare, stretching as far as the eye can see. Domaine Pieretti, whose wines are recognised regionally and nationally, produces about 45,000 bottles a year. After your tasting, you can walk into the village and go to the Tower of Seneca. Located west of the Luri valley towards Pinu and clinging to rocks, this building constructed by the Dei Moti family during the second half of the 16th century was named after the famous Roman philosopher—because he was sentenced to exile there by Emperor Claudius for the crime of adultery.
