Dubai: a record-breaking city

From the tallest tower to the largest artificial lake and the most impressive fireworks display, Dubai is racking up the world records. Watch our video to get a closer look.

In Dubai, everything is big. You can go up one of the tallest towers in the world, the 810-metre-high Burj Khalifa. Once in, a lift takes you above the city at more than 40 kilometres an hour. At the top, on the 122nd floor, you will enter a fine restaurant – the highest in the world. At.mosphere serves up its seafood specialities to patrons as they take in breathtaking views over the city.

After your meal, head to the Dubai Mall, a shopping centre with 1,200 shops over four levels. Between purchases, admire one of the largest aquariums ever built at 32 metres long. In the evening, around 6pm, wrap up your shopping and go see the most spectacular water show at the Dubai Fountain, whose jets can spray water up to 150 metres high. You will never forget your stay in this world record-breaking city.
