Le Petit Nice is part of the Relais & Châteaux group, a guarantee of traditional refinement and elegance. Halfway between sea and sky, this beautiful building is exposed out in the open, like a peninsula lapped by blue waters. A haven of peace and sweetness, it is only five minutes away from Marseille's city centre.
For three generations, the 5-star hotel has belonged to the family of Gérald Passedat. The living spaces, lit by the sun streaming through the large windows and dressed in the region's earthy colours, create a pure and warm atmosphere. The rooms, many of which are styled like stripped down lofts, are elegantly decorated and feature monumental works by Gérard Traquandi that celebrate nature.
Three-star Michelin chef since 2008, Gérald Passedat creates dishes that explore the maritime and terroir riches of the Mediterranean region. More than 65 fish varieties pass through his kitchen, some modest, other forgotten, all magnified and carrying their intense flavours.
Known for his love of good produce, the chef showcases the region's best: brousse du rove cheese, bottarga, beautiful sundrenched tomatoes, eggplants and many other wonders of nature, all delivered by select local producers with whom he shares the same vision.
Try out his "open flame" cuisine, delivering the most pronounced of flavours!
